Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Fear is paralyzing and has the ability to hold people back from going after their dreams. And for me, it was about 6 years ago at 44 years of age when I was sitting in church one Sunday morning and after giving the weekly announcements, the youth pastor asked the congregation what is God's most referenced command in the Bible? A slew of hands went up and he called on them to give their answers. Such things as love thy neighbor as thy self, forgive others, pray without ceasing, and others. But none of those were the right answer. The youth pastor piped up and said nope, it's to not fear or worry. God's word contains over 360 references for his children to not fear or have worry. That was a pivotal moment in my walk of faith. Ever since that moment, anything and everything I would have worried about in the past, I think about Isaiah 41:10 and give it to God. With genuine faith and trust in Him, it has really been that easy.
